About
I am a Czech ceramic artist who has been passionate about pottery since I was a child. I grew up in Prague, the Czech Republic, and my first experience with ceramics was at elementary school in art class. I was immediately hooked by the process of creating something beautiful and functional with my own hands.
After middle school, I went on to study at a specialized ceramic high school in South Czechia. There, I learned the traditional techniques of pottery, including wheel throwing, hand building, and glazing. I also experimented with different decorative techniques, such as majolica painting, painting on glaze, and luster painting.
After graduating from high school, I went on to study at the Art school of Jan Evangelist Purkyně University. I focused on the design of porcelain and learned how to create functional porcelain tableware.
After graduating, I started teaching ceramics and making ceramics in Switzerland and Baltimore, Maryland.
I am always experimenting with new techniques and designs, and I am always looking for new ways to express myself through my work. I believe that ceramics is a powerful medium that can be used to create beautiful and meaningful objects. I am grateful for the opportunity to share my work with the world.
